Resources & References

When it comes to intimacy, staying informed can be no small feat! There is a lot of advice out there, not all of it reliable. So here are a few resources for embodied practices, reading material, communities and more that I personally recommend based upon my own direct experiences:

Relationship Magic

Stuck in a rut with your longtime partner? Wanting more sweetness with your beloved? Seeking depth with a new romantic interest? These are just some of the reasons why you'd be inspired to take the journey from where you now stand to a connection infused with Relationship Magic. And because this is a journey you get to take from the comfort of your own home, at the pace and time that works for you, it is easy to bring this magic to your love life.

Created by my mentor, David Cates, whose work has been exceptionally influential in both my personal and professional life, this set of 10 distinct 30-minute guided practices are as good as any aphrodisiac out there! While it's true these may well had spark to your sex life, what I can 100% guarantee is that if you and your special someone take this journey in earnest and really show up for the practices, the emotional intimacy, sense of closeness and all around well being between you will grow exponentially.

This one is specifically for the womb carriers!

Far too many women know very little about the internal landscape of their genitals and few have tapped into the tremendous well of wisdom and potential for bliss that reside in a particular part of our anatomy: the cervix.

Join an international community of women for periodic journeys that include a tremendous amount of information and resource as well as guidance for dearmouring and self pleasuring practices that are designed to bring you in touch with this place deep within, physically, emotionally and energetically.

Having been both a participant of and contributor to Self Cervix since its early days, I can fully attest to the integrity, heart and potency of those who hold the space, those who show up for the journeys and the possibilities that are there to unfold.

Reading Material To Inspire You Along Your Path

I often get asked for book suggestions on a variety of topics that relate to sex, intimacy and relationships, so here are a few that I find myself recommending most frequently:

  • The Heart of Tantric Sex by Diana Richardson is hands-down the book I suggest the most since I get MANY inquiries about how to have more intimate connection during lovemaking, where to learn about tantra or what possibilities exist for those with erectile issues. This book is a true gem that offers something on all of those topics and more.
  • Woman's Anatomy of Arousal by Sheri Winston is another favorite of mine for its straightforward, highly informative and easy to navigate content. With sections for woman and men alike, this book is overflowing with insight whether you want to geek out on anatomy or get some pro tips for pleasuring the yoni in your life, whether it belongs to you or your lover.
  • Struggling with differing attachment styles in your relationship? (Here's a clue: if one of you seems to get upset a whole lot more and the other tends to pull away when that happen, you're probably dealing with a case of disparate attachment) For starters, check out this concise and fantastic 2-part article and then if you want to go deeper, grab a copy of Attached by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller.
