What to do when your pussy isn’t feeling so peachy

I regularly talk to/work with, vulva bearers, many of them cis-women, who find sex to be the opposite of pleasurable and in some cases live with persistent pelvic pain.

Often they feel mystified and sometimes even mortified when it comes to really understanding what is going on in their most sacred parts.

Often they’ve seen doctors and gotten nowhere, typically receiving vague diagnoses such as vulvodynia and vaginismus with equally vague guidance on how to heal.

Often they’ve tried different sex positions, non-penetrative play, lube and whatever other creative means they can think of or have been guided to explore in hopes of pain-free sex.

And often, it hasn’t worked.

Care to guess why our esteemed western medical model tends to typically fall short?

It’s rather simple: Historically, anything related to “women’s issues” and “women’s health” has received less attention and funding than “general health” matters, as if those of us with vulvas aren’t within the scope of “general health”. And this becomes exponentially more true if you’re a trans-man, enby person, person of color, etc. Fucking patriarchy and white supremacy!

And if our health isn’t being prioritized, it should come as no surprise that neither is our pleasure.

Yet our pleasure is an essential part of what is needed to uncover the roots and unwind from the patterns that are causing pain to begin with.

The pleasure of forming a truly connective, respectful, honest relationship with your own body rather than being disconnected, dissociated or at odds with it.

The pleasure of knowing what you need in order to feel safe, relaxed and receptive to contact rather than constantly ignoring or overriding your boundaries and preferences.

The pleasure of breathing, moving, sounding and touching in authentic ways rather than living in a state of restraint or habitual performance.

This is what’s available to you that few to no doctors in the western medical complex are likely to guide you towards. This is what I offer: Holistic, trauma-informed, somatically-oriented, sex positive care.

If you’re suffering from painful sex, general pelvic pain or the like, if you feel numb or disconnected from your genitals, your body, and/or your heart, if you want to have a deeply intimate relationship with your own precious self and whomever you choose to share your sex with, I would love to show you how the tools and wisdom I have to offer can help.

The potency of WOMAN: Wise, Wild & Whole may be the right fit. Perhaps Whole Bodywork instead or in addition to is what’s most aligned for you. There are options. Know that. And know that you aren’t broken and you don’t have to go this alone.

Reach my way. Send a message or set up your free exploration call. Whatever the case, know that I look forward to hearing from you.

About

Erotic Wholeness Guide

I believe that each of us tending to our personal erotic liberation is an essential contribution to our collective liberation.

My journey began as a precocious child who loved to dance, move, touch and speak her mind boldly. I once thought I’d become a lawyer and spent more than a decade building a successful corporate career early in my adult life only to find my heart calling for something radically different. That call led me to blaze a path across the terrain of sexuality, somatics, social justice and soul.

Inspiration and guidance have come to me from many sources, including the potent voices of the Black intersectional feminist movement, the pancultural wisdom of many earth-based traditions and powerful modalities such as Somatic Experiencing and Sexological Bodywork.

I’m deeply honored to serve and inspire in the ways I do.
